[edit] Get Started: Easy to Use Form: Enter a Name
Just fill in the name of an Individual to add the person to the site, with all of their genealogy information. We ask that the dates when the person lived be added in parenthesis after the person's name so that we can distinguish between people with the same name. If you don't know the exact years when the person lived, you could just use a birth date that you know is about right or perhaps you know the person was born before or after some year, you could include that year and a question mark for others to see.
This is a suggested form for creating pages about individuals when discussing individuals that have lived at various times in history. However, it is true that more is needed to uniquely identify a person than just the years when the person lived.
We could post here links to information and names that are being sought by members of the website. What you would do is write something like, Looking for information on Paul Jones who lived in Virginia during the 1800s.
